Master Chapter Twenty: Dragon's Gate in Fire Emblem Heroes! Learn strategies for recruiting Legault, defeating Cameron and Darin, and seizing the throne.

Alright, let's tackle Chapter Twenty: Dragon's Gate! This one's a bit of a throwback, bringing back familiar elements, so if you've played before, you'll feel right at home. The main objective here is to Seize the throne.

Keep an eye out, because a new potential ally, Legault, appears here. He starts as an enemy, but you can recruit him if you use either Hector or Lyn to talk to him. Just a heads-up, he'll be trying to nab some items, so be ready!

Boss Data

You'll be facing a couple of tough opponents:

  • Cameron: A Paladin at Level 4, armed with a Halberd. He's got 31 HP, 9 STR, 10 SKL, 12 SPD, 10 DEF, 11 RES, and 5 LUC. He drops his Halberd when defeated.
  • Darin: A General at Level 5, wielding a Spear. He's a bit beefier with 34 HP, 14 STR, 9 SKL, 8 SPD, 15 DEF, 13 RES, and 2 LUC.

Items to Find

There are a bunch of goodies scattered around this map, so make sure you grab them:

  • Member Card: You'll need to steal this from a thief.
  • Brave Bow: Located in the lone southern chest.
  • Luna: Found in the north-west left chest.
  • Blue Gem: In the north-west right chest.
  • Guiding Ring: In the eastern bottom chest.
  • Barrier: In the eastern upper chest.
  • Door Key: Dropped by enemies.
  • Chest Key: Dropped by enemies.
  • Halberd: Dropped by Cameron.

Strategy Breakdown

This chapter hasn't changed much from previous versions, so the core strategy remains the same. It's all about positioning and using your units effectively.

General Approach:

  • Keep your ranged attackers and mages positioned slightly behind your frontline units. They'll be crucial for picking off pesky enemies that get too close.
  • Your fliers should hang back initially. It's a good idea to train both of your pegasus knights here if they aren't already maxed out.
  • Send your armored units to take the lead. They can absorb a lot of damage.
  • Matthew should stick close behind the lords, who should also be behind your main tanks (unless Hector is already fully leveled).

Navigating the Map:

  • Your first priority is to charge past Cameron and his crew quickly, heading towards Legault.
  • Like in Eliwood Mode, you'll want to split your party. I recommend sending your high-movement characters through the northern path to try and corner Legault. The rest of your forces can head through the southern path.
  • Have Matthew snag the chest in the south. After that, use your fliers to transport him quickly up the map.
  • The western chests can be handled by any unit, as the knight there drops a Chest Key, making them accessible.
  • Make sure Hector talks to Legault to recruit him. Once recruited, have Legault steal the Member Card from the other thief (and any other items he might have). After he's done, you can defeat the thief.
  • While you're managing the recruitment and item collection, your main forces can gather experience from any reinforcements that appear.
  • Finally, send Oswin and Hector towards the throne room. Defeat Darin with Oswin, and once you're ready, have Hector seize the throne to complete the chapter.
