How to Get the Carian Retaliation Sorcery

Learn how to get the Carian Retaliation sorcery in elden ring. It costs 9000 Runes and is sold by Seluvis after starting Ranni's Questline.

To acquire the Carian Retaliation sorcery, you must first progress through Caria Manor and initiate Ranni's Questline. After defeating Royal Knight Loretta and speaking with Ranni at Ranni's Rise, you will need to speak with her three servants: War Counselor Iji, Blaidd the Half-Wolf, and Preceptor Selvius. Once you have spoken with them, return to Ranni to lower a barrier surrounding Ranni's Rise.

Following this, visit Seluvis's Rise, a tower located southeast of Ranni's Rise. Speak with Seluvis to begin his quest. He will task you with delivering a potion to Nepheli Loux, who can be found at the Roundtable Hold if you have progressed through Raya Lucaria Academy. She will be sitting down the stairs from Smithing Master Hewg.

You have a critical decision to make regarding the potion:

• Option 1: Give the potion to Nepheli Loux. This will end her questline but reward you with a unique Spirit Ash from Seluvis.
• Option 2: Wait until you are beyond the Altus Plateau and have the Dung Eater at the Roundtable Hold. Advancing his quest far enough to feed him the potion will end his questline and grant you another unique Spirit Ash.
• Option 3: To continue Seluvis's quest without voiding the other two, speak to Gideon Ofnir at the Roundtable Hold and mention Seluvis's potion. You can then give the potion to Gideon Ofnir to dispose of. This tricks Seluvis into believing you gave it to Nepheli, but it failed. You will not receive either unique Spirit Ash, but you can continue all three questlines.

Regardless of your choice, return to Seluvis and inform him of the outcome. He will thank you and agree to sell you Sorceries. The Carian Retaliation sorcery is available for purchase from Seluvis for 9000 Runes.
