Follow our guide to complete The Threat Remains quest in Dragon Age: Inquisition, including finding Cassandra, exploring Haven, and reporting to the War Table.
Walkthrough
- 1After the cutscene, explore the room. Loot the box for random items, inspect the desk for the Patient Observations codex, and open the Special Shipments container for upgraded gear.
- 2Exit the room and turn right. Go behind the building to find two Elfroot and a Chest.
- 3Go behind the house you woke up in to find another Elfroot.
- 4Continue around the building to the south west, finding another Elfroot and a pot with random loot.
- 5Head through the crowd, turn south up the stairs. At the top, find a note on the pillar to your left to unlock the Andraste’s Mabari codex.
- 6Loot the sack beside the house to the north east, then go behind that house for more Elfroot.
- 7Inside the house, find a note that updates the Patient Observations codex.
- 8Behind this house, find another Elfroot.
- 9From the house, turn north west and loot the sack beside the next house beyond the tents.
- 10To the right of this house's entrance, find a note unlocking The Singing Maiden codex.
- 11In the main tent area in front of the Chantry, loot sacks and a chest. Find more loot sacks, a pot, and Elfroot to the right and left.
- 12Explore the houses to the right of the Chantry. The first contains The Randy Dowager Quarterly codex. The second has a loot chest and another Patient Observations update. Find more Elfroot surrounding these houses.
- 13Head into the Chantry. Turn left to loot a sack. Read the book on the table to the south east to unlock The Fade codex.
- 14Nearby, find a scroll on a barrel to unlock A Chant for the Departed codex.
- 15To the south west, find a pot with random loot.
- 16Go through the door to the north east. Down the steps, find two books: the left unlocks Founding of the Chantry, the right unlocks Chantry Hierarchy.
- 17At the end of the hall, loot a chest.
- 18Return to the main Chantry room and enter the next room on the left. Find a note unlocking The Children of Andraste codex. Interact with the research station to turn in research for XP and enemy enhancements.
- 19Enter the room across the hall and read the book on the bed to unlock The Maker codex.
- 20Enter the room at the end of the Chantry to trigger a cutscene.
- 21After the cutscene, choose dialogue options to gain approval with Cassandra: “I did what I could.”, then “Blessed be the Maker”, and then “I want to help.”.
- 22Before entering the Chantry again, explore Haven for loot, resources like Iron and Elfroot, and a Logging Stand for Requisition for Weapons.
- 23Visit the Chantry to trigger another cutscene.
- 24During the cutscene, if you are Human, choose “I like it.” for positive approval from Cassandra.
- 25After the cutscene, you will enter the War Table. Choose Ferelden and then Scout the Hinterlands, spending 1 Power using Secrets.
- 26Before heading to the Hinterlands, send agents on other available missions within your power range.
- 27Click Scout the Hinterlands to fast travel. Select your companions or choose to go alone.
Tips
- Don't miss the box in the center of the room for random loot.
- Don't miss the note on the pillar at the top of the stairs to unlock the Andraste’s Mabari codex.
- Read the note in the house to the left of the pillar to update the Patient Observations codex.
- The third note in the house to the north updates the Patient Observations codex.
- When visiting the War Table, you can choose between Orlais and Ferelden for missions.
