Learn how to unlock the Knight-Enchanter specialization in Dragon Age: Inquisition by finding Helaine and crafting the Spirit Blade Hilt. Full guide included.

Alright, so you want to become a Knight-Enchanter? Awesome choice! First things first, you'll need to find your trainer, Helaine. She's hanging out right near the main gate of Skyhold. Chat her up, and she'll kick off the quest called ‘Way of the Knight-Enchanter’.

To actually get this specialization unlocked, you've gotta craft a special item: the Spirit Blade Hilt. You can whip this up at any requisition table once you've gathered a few things. Here's what you'll need:

• Codex Entry: Writing on Knight-Enchanter methods — You can find this on a table near Vivienne in Skyhold. She's usually in the courtyard with Cassandra, or sometimes on the balcony chilling with Solas. If you miss it there, the merchant Willvan in Val Royeaux also sells it.
• 3x Wisp Essence — These little guys drop from pure wisps you'll find in the Fallow Mire, specifically in the Old Thoroughfare, Weeping Spires, and Granite Point areas. Wraiths hanging out at Fade Rifts can also drop them, or you might get some from Barnabus in Val Royeaux if you've got The Short List perk active.
• 10x Lazurite — Keep an eye out for these in the Hissing Wastes and the Western Approach. Alternatively, you can get them from the war table mission called ‘Hissing Wastes Resources’ by assigning either Josephine or Cullen to it.

Just a heads-up, you won't be able to find Helaine or start this quest until you've completed the war table mission ‘Specializations for the Inquisitor’. So, make sure that's done first!
