Guide to finding Enchanted Skulls in Dragon Age: Inquisition's Jaws of Hakkon DLC. Learn where to locate them in Swamp Kuldsdotten and how to use veilfire.

Alright, so you've stumbled into the Frostback Basin and picked up the quest 'It Remains to be Seen.' Basically, the Jaws of Hakkon are up to some creepy stuff with human bones for their rituals, and we need to figure out what. We're looking for these things called Enchanted Skulls. They're located in Swamp Kuldsdotten, which is up to the northeast of the Research Outpost. Once you get into the swamp, the game will highlight an area where these skulls are gathered. Keep an eye out for a warm glow – they're pretty easy to spot in the dark swamp.

You'll find five of them in total. Three are hanging from trees on the ground level, and two are a bit higher up, attached to large tree trunks. Don't worry if you accidentally interact with one and the glow goes out; they don't disappear. That light going out is actually a good way to keep track of which ones you've already picked up, especially if it's nighttime.

Once you've got all five skulls, your next stop is Stone-Bear Hold to find the Augur. He'll want you to use veilfire magic by examining some runes inside the hold. Head to the cave where Gyda Myrdotten is working, located in the northeast part of the hold. You'll find three runes on the cave walls. Just interact with each one, and you'll unlock a codex entry for each:

  1. The Death
  2. The Mourning
  3. The Return

After you've checked out all three runes, head back to the Augur. He's going to ask you a question: “ _What did you take as the purpose of the tale_?“. Make sure you pick option 1, which is “Renewal?”. Doing this correctly will net you two Approval points for the 'Guests of the Hold' quest.
