Alright, let's get this 'Act of Mercy' quest sorted out. First things first, head back to Gamlen's House and use the Writing Desk. You'll find a letter there that kicks off the quest. Once that's done, you need to make your way to the Wounded Coast Approach in the Free Marches.

As soon as you arrive, you'll run into some Dragonlings. Take them down and then check the corpse they were feasting on – you might find something useful. Keep pushing forward, you'll encounter more Dragonlings, so be ready. Look for a pile of bones off to the side; it's a good spot to check. Continue on, and you'll find another corpse near a fork in the path, and then another one just a bit further. Keep your eyes peeled!

Now, head south. You'll find Thrask waiting for you. He needs your help, so agree to enter the Runaways' Cavern with him. Inside, you'll need to deal with an Apostate. After that, check the northern alcove – there's another corpse there. Keep heading south into the more open area and fight off the Corpses. In the northeast alcove, you'll find some rubble, so give that a look. Head up the stairs to the west; there's another corpse waiting for you up there. Loot it, then make your way through the southern door.

When you reach a split, go west first. You'll find some raw lyrium. Don't linger too long, though, because you'll need to quickly backtrack east to face a bunch of enemies. After you've dealt with them, you'll find Thrask waiting for you again just outside the Runaway's Cavern.
