Upper Route Walkthrough (6)

Your guide to completing the Upper Route Walkthrough (6) in Command & Conquer: Red Alert. Learn how to deploy, build your base, and crush the Allied forces.

Alright, let's get this mission done! You'll start with your MCV, so get it deployed right away. Your first priority is to get your economy and production up and running. Build a power plant, then an ore refinery. After that, you'll want a war factory to start churning out some units. Get another power plant online to keep everything running smoothly, then add a radar station so you can see what's coming. Finally, build an airfield.

Next, build another ore miner to boost your income. As soon as your airfield's scout plane is ready, send it out. You're looking for a radar station located about halfway across the map from the left edge, right at the top. Once the scout plane reveals it, get your first group of paratroopers ready. As soon as they're charged up, drop them to the left of that radar station. You'll need to be quick here – use them to destroy the station before the enemy tank nearby can take them out.

While all that's happening, keep building heavy tanks. Aim to get around fifteen of them ready for action. Once you have a decent force, move them all the way to the west side of the map. Look for pillboxes; you'll see two sets. The first set is blocking the path to the radar station you just dealt with, and the second set is guarding the main Allied base. Blast through both sets of pillboxes.

With the defenses down, push into the Allied base. Your main targets here are their war factory, barracks, and construction yard. Take those out first, as they're key to their ability to rebuild and produce more units. After that, focus on destroying any turrets and tanks you encounter.

Once the core of their base is gone, do a sweep of the map to find and destroy any remaining units or buildings. When the entire map is clear of enemy presence, you'll complete the mission. Good job!
