The moment the mission starts, nudge your starting units a bit to the east. As soon as your MCV pops up, deploy it. Seriously, don't bother trying to fight your way back to the main base; it's a waste of time and you probably won't make it.

Get a heavy power plant built right next to your deployed MCV. Your main priority now is repairing your base. Make sure your harvester is running, and then get a second ore refinery built. Stick it over by that lower-left ore field.

The key to this route is turrets and managing a small, but effective, group of tanks. First, line the top of your base with about five or six turrets. Then, do the same for the right entrance with another four or so.

Once your war factory is up and running, start churning out medium tanks. You should only need about six of them if you can keep your turret defenses strong, so don't go overboard with spending. You'll need that cash for repairs and replacing any buildings that take a hit.

Keep an eye out for Soviet attacks. They'll send waves of heavy tanks, often with V2 rockets tagging along, coming from the east, north, and west (they use transports for the west). Make sure you defend the area around your ore field and your repair bay – those are prime targets.

Listen closely for the sound of V2 rockets. If you hear them firing, immediately try to pinpoint their location. Send your tank group over to take them out before they can decimate your turret lines from a distance.

You'll also face Mammoth tanks, usually one at a time. Your turrets can generally handle a single Mammoth with minimal losses. However, if they send two, you'll definitely want to dispatch your tank squad to prevent them from wiping out too many of your defenses.

That's the gist of it! Just keep your buildings repaired – the Soviets love to parabomb power plants – and have your tank group ready to respond to any threats at your base entrances.
