Lower Route Walkthrough (2)

Right off the bat, you'll be swarmed by infantry. Deal with them quickly. Once that's clear, move your starting units north until you spot a small land bridge. Don't cross it yet! Instead, send your two gunboats north along the coast. You'll see some explosive barrels on the other side of that land bridge – shoot them to take out the flame towers. Then, use those same gunboats to blast the heavy tank chilling there. Once the area is clear, you can move all your forces across the land bridge.

Once you're across, find a good spot at the top of the clearing to deploy your Construction Yard. Build a Power Plant first, then a Barracks. Pro tip: keep the Power Plant below the Construction Yard so you have space to build Anti-Aircraft Guns later. Next up, get an Ore Refinery built and place it as close to the land bridge as possible to maximize your income. You'll face some Soviet attacks from the east, but they're not too tough. A single Pillbox and a Turret should handle them easily.

With your economy secured, build a War Factory and start churning out Medium Tanks. About five of them should be more than enough to clear out the small Soviet base to the east. Go ahead and do that, but here's a crucial step: don't destroy the Radar Station! Instead, send a Spy into it. Then, weaken the station with your tanks and capture it with an Engineer. This saves you the trouble of building your own radar and lets you build a Naval Yard right next to it. Also, there's a decent ore field south of the radar station, so consider a second Ore Refinery. Just be aware that Soviet transports will drop reinforcements on the small shore south of that ore field, so keep an eye out.

Make sure you've built a few Anti-Aircraft Guns on the top and left sides of your base. Those Yaks might seem minor, but they can wreck your base if you ignore them. When you're ready to hit the main Soviet base, build a Naval Yard in the water northeast of your captured Radar Station and start building a fleet of Gunboats.

The Soviets have only one good landing spot on their landmass: the far western edge. Trying to land anywhere else, like by their Sub Pen, will likely result in a lot of wasted boats. So, move your Gunboats west, taking out any submarines you encounter. Once they're clear, bring your Gunboats back to defend your Naval Yard. Now, load up four Transports with 19 Medium Tanks and a Spy each. Send them all over to the shore beneath the Tesla Coil on the far western edge of the map.

Land your tanks and push towards the Soviet base. With careful maneuvering, this wave of Medium Tanks should be able to wipe out their ground forces. Just remember to use your Spy to infiltrate a Tech Center before you destroy everything. After you've cleared out all ground units and structures, do a quick sweep of the water for any remaining submarines. Destroy them all, and you'll complete the mission!
