A Potion for Triss

After meditating, speak with Vesemir. He explains that Kaer Morhen has been robbed and that you need to hunt the bandits and avenge Leo. Your immediate task is to create a potion for Triss.

Go upstairs and speak with Lambert. He instructs you to find Calcium Equum and White Gull.

Head through the kitchen and go west to the stairs leading up.

Ascend the stairs to the upper floor, dealing with any Salamandra Bandits.

In the Evening Hall, search crates to find Calcium Equum and a book titled “The Frightener”. Reading books can provide quests, recipes, or journal entries.

In the armory, find more crates containing alternate weapons like a Temerian Iron Dagger and an Axe, which can be sold or stashed. Another crate holds White Gull and a book, “Monstrum, or a Portrayal of Witchers”.

Return downstairs and report to Lambert. He tells you that you also need a beast's claw and some Celandine. He then refers you to Vesemir.

Speak with Eskel for backstory.

Speak with Vesemir. He gives you Celandine, teaches you the “Flaying” ability, and instructs you to skin the Frightener for its claw. He also provides some basic equipment. You will also find the Red Meteorite and Frightener’s Vision scroll.

Head outside and search the Frightener's remains to obtain a Frightener's Claw and a Frightener's Eye.

Return inside and meditate near the fireplace.

Access the Alchemy menu and select “Potion for Triss”. The game will automatically combine Calcium Equum, Celandine, Frightener Claw, and White Gull.

Go to Triss's Room and loot it.

Speak with Triss. In the conversation screen, click the gift icon and double-click the “Potion for Triss” from your quest items.

If you wish to pursue Triss romantically, pick the first dialogue option twice to obtain the “Triss #1” Sex Card.

After speaking with Triss, you can explore Kaer Morhen further before proceeding.
