Anatomy of a Crime

Ramsmeat Resolution: If you sought Zoltan at the Hairy Bear, head there to speak with Ramsmeat. Talk to any wandering Thugs on the way; one might mention Berengar. Rest until noon if needed. Speak to Ramsmeat, ask about Salamandra (options #2, then #2 again). He claims he and his men don't like Salamandra. Ask about Berengar; he reveals Berengar worked with Salamandra, and Ramsmeat was tracking him. Both Berengar and Ramsmeat's agent vanished into the swamp. You'll gain XP.

Clearing the Air: Speak to Ramsmeat again and declare him innocent. He explains his crew at the Hospital were rescuing one of his men, not Salamanders. Due to Berengar's association with Salamandra, Ramsmeat was hostile. He'll then reveal Azar Javed's fetish for women and fire, explaining Salamandra's actions against Carmen and her girls, and their interest beyond Fisstech.

The Gravedigger: Visit the Gravedigger in the south-eastern Temple Quarter near the Cemetery gate. Give him six jugs of Dog Tallow. You'll receive XP and Orens.

Hildegard Zollstock: Near the Cemetery gates around noon, find Hildegard. She'll give you a quest to deal with her husband's ghost, promising 200 Orens.

The Bootblack: Find the Bootblack by the stairs north of Raymond's House during the day. Pay him two Orens for a shoeshine. After some dialogue, choose option #6 ("You don’t talk like a shoeshine.") to prompt him to refuse further elaboration on his past.

The Prophet Lebioda's Signet Ring: Leave the area and re-enter a location (like Raymond's). Talk to the Bootblack again and offer him the book “Shadow People, or the History of His Majesty’s Secret Service” (won from Thaler). He will give you “The Prophet Lebioda’s Signet Ring”, useful for bypassing “Grandma” at Shani's House. Ensure you've read the book.

The Widow's Wraith: Rest until night. Head to the Cemetery Gate to find a Wraith. Use the Silver Sword with the Fast Silver Style to defeat it. You'll gain XP.

Reporting to Hildegard: Return to the Cemetery Gates at noon and report to Hildegard. She will give you 2000 XP and 200 Orens.

Kalkstein's Information: Before heading to the Swamp Forest, visit Kalkstein's House. Tell him about the information gained from “The Secret Gates” and “Ain Soph Aur”. You'll learn you need ten Sephirah Stones.
