Walkthrough
  1. 1
Head to the Striga’s Crypt, past the Circle of Mute Thunder and through swampland.
  2. 2
Speak to the Desperate Father near a fireplace, who will tell you about the Striga.
  3. 3
Turn in “The Cemetaur Contract” if completed.
  4. 4
Speak to Velerad, who is checking on your progress.
  5. 5
Prepare by ensuring you have a Cat potion ready for the dark crypts.
  6. 6
Enter the crypt; Velerad will lock you in until you succeed or fail.
  7. 7
From the entry chamber, head east to a four-way split, then continue east.
  8. 8
Enter the first room to the north and loot a sarcophagus for “Notes of an Elven Minstrel”.
  9. 9
Continue east, then enter a room to the south. Loot a fireplace for some Yellow Meteorite and find the final Wayfarer’s Stone.
  10. 10
If you are Order-aligned and wish to advance “Armor” and complete “St. Gregory’s Litany”, cast Aard, Aard, Igni on the Wayfarer’s Stone to teleport to another Ancient Crypt.
  11. 11
Head east down a tunnel, into a room, then up a ramp to the north to find a room with a Basilisk and “St. Gregory’s Tomb”.
  12. 12
Loot “St. Gregory’s Tomb” for a Vodon Rune Stone and “St. Gregory’s Litany”.
  13. 13
Return to the Wayfarer’s Stone and teleport back.
  14. 14
Backtrack to the four-way split and head south. Rest at the fireplace if it is not night.
  15. 15
Head into the room further south to encounter the Striga (Adda).
  16. 16
To dispel the curse: Survive the night by wasting time and running around the sarcophagus in the room, staying away from Adda. Survive until the five candles on the sarcophagus burn out (approximately five minutes).
  17. 17
To fight the Striga: Use the Strong Silver Style (or Fast Silver if it dodges). Use Aard to knock it down for free hits or Igni for damage. Be aware of its Blinding, Knockdown, and Pain attacks.
  18. 18
After surviving or defeating the Striga, talk to Adda.
  19. 19
If you saved Adda, she will mention Salamandra and point out a nearby sarcophagus containing Ostrit’s Journal. Loot a nearby trunk for more items.
  20. 20
Head outside and talk to Velerad.
  21. 21
If you saved Adda, Velerad will reward you with the sword D’yaebl and 3000 XP.
  22. 22
If you killed the Striga, Velerad will be disappointed and reward you with 2000 XP.
  23. 23
Velerad will pass on a message from Foltest: go to the Old Manor to deal with Salamandra.
