Walkthrough
- 1Head to the Grand Master in the icy cave and follow him outside to witness the ice-encased Vizima, the "White Frost".
- 2Defeat the Omens of Fire summoned by the Grand Master after negotiations break down.
- 3Continue north-east to meet your lover, who explains the vision is born of the Grand Master's fears.
- 4If Triss appears, she grants the "Lightning Storm" ability, which gives a chance of causing lightning damage.
- 5Continue north-east and defeat the Skullheads using the Strong Silver Style.
- 6Be aware that the blizzard follows you and results in a game-over if you backtrack too far.
- 7Continue forward and defeat more Skullheads until you find Abigail on an ice bridge.
- 8If you saved Abigail from the mob in Chapter 1, she gives you a Swallow potion and a Tawny Owl potion. If you did not save her, she attacks you.
- 9Defeat the Barghests that appear after Abigail falls.
- 10Continue until you find large ice shards containing Skullheads; kill the three that emerge.
- 11Enter a cave where the Grand Master awaits. His words depend on advice given to Alvin about his "gift" in Chapter 4.
- 12Travel through the cave and defeat a Wild Hunt Wraith.
- 13Defeat the "King of the Wild Hunt" and the summoned Wild Hunt Wraiths.
- 14As you near the cave exit, an encounter occurs based on your allegiance:
- If you sided with the Order, White Rayla appears. Pick option #1 to have her fight with you, or option #2 to gain the "Soulcatcher" ability, which restores Vitality with each opponent killed.
- 15If you sided with the Scoia’tael, Toruviel appears. Pick option #1 to gain the "Fiery Swords" ability, which deals additional fire damage, or option #2 to have her join you.
- 16If you remained neutral, Celina the Nightwraith appears. Pick option #1 for the "Soulcatcher" ability, or option #2 to have her aid you in battle.
- 17Continue uphill, killing Skullheads and Wild Hunt Wraiths.
- 18Encounter the Grand Master again. His response depends on what you told Alvin about Elves in Chapter 4 during the quest "Free Elves".
- 19Advance uphill, killing Mutants.
- 20Encounter a former faction-aligned friend:
- If you sided with the Order, Yaevinn appears and resorts to violence.
- 21If you sided with the Scoia’tael, Siegfried appears and is hostile.
- 22If you remained neutral, you fight both Yaevinn and Siegfried.
- 23Kill a Mutant Assassin and advance to meet Alvin. Your lover exclaims, but it's an illusion. Alvin departs.
- 24Have your final peaceful encounter with the Grand Master. His response reflects advice given to Alvin about Witchers.
- 25Dispatch three Mutant Assassins.
- 26Encounter Adda. If you saved her in Chapter 5, she turns into a Striga and attacks enemies.
- 27If you killed Adda in Chapter 5, Count de Wett appears and professes to be the embodiment of your hatred for monsters, aiding you in battle.
- 28If you killed Adda but not Vincent, Vincent appears and aids you as a Werewolf.
- 29Head across a natural bridge.
