Follow this guide to complete The Outer Worlds' 'Die, Robot' side quest. Learn how to deal with the Mechanical Sentry, find Ludwig's secret weapon, and acquire the logic module.

Alright, let's tackle the 'Die, Robot' side quest in The Outer Worlds. This one involves helping out a quirky old guy named Ludwig in Edgewater. We'll be dealing with some robots, finding a hidden weapon, and grabbing a crucial component.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Dealing with the Scout: Head to the junkyard on the northeastern edge of Edgewater. You'll find a Damaged Mechanical Sentry here. You have a few options: you can repair it if you have Engineering 54 (or have Parvati do it), or you can just destroy it. Ludwig won't know the difference, but repairing it might make it helpful later.
  2. 2
Ludwig’s Secret Weapon: After dealing with the Sentry, return to Ludwig. He'll give you a reward and then send you to find a weapon he hid. Go back to the cantina in Edgewater. Enter the door on the left to find a hallway, then go through the first door on the right to find the bathroom. Search behind the toilet on the southern wall to find a Sealed Bundle. Bring this back to Ludwig; he'll give you a Mag-2-Zap.
  3. 3
Acquiring a Logic Module: Ludwig's next task is to get a logic module from the Geothermal Power Plant. You'll need to progress the main quest 'Comes Now the Power' until you're ready to enter the plant. You can find the plant northwest of Edgewater. Once inside, head down the stairs. To the west, you'll see two doors. The northern door leads to the Geothermal Security Office (which might help if you have a passcode from Reed Tobson). The southern door requires a Lockpick 45 and contains the Corrupted Logic Module. If you can't pick the lock, look for the Security Chief's body east of the terminal room; they'll have the Geothermal Security Chief’s Keycard.
Tips
  • Make sure you've progressed the main quest 'Comes Now the Power' far enough to access the Geothermal Power Plant without messing up your main objectives.
  • If you're struggling with the Lockpick check, the Security Chief's Keycard is a reliable alternative.
  • Don't forget to check behind the toilet for Ludwig's weapon – it's easy to miss!
