Your step-by-step guide to The Ice Palace quest in The Outer Worlds. Learn how to start, navigate HRS-1084, and claim the station for SubLight.

Alright, so you've just wrapped up "Space-Crime Continuum" for Lilya Hagen on Groundbreaker. Good job! She's got another job for you, and it's called "The Ice Palace." Basically, she wants you to head over to this old Board station, HRS-1084, and snag it for SubLight. Sounds simple enough, right?

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Accept the Quest: As soon as you finish talking to Lilya about "Space-Crime Continuum," she'll offer you "The Ice Palace." Just accept it. She'll tell you all about Heliospheric Research Station Ten Eighty-Four (HRS-1084), a Board station that SubLight wants to claim.
  2. 2
Dialogue Choices: When Lilya's done explaining, you'll have a chance to ask some questions. If you want to boost your standing with SubLight, go with the _“Wink, nod.”_ option. If you choose _“You’re being cryptic. Again.”_, you'll get a little bit of negative reputation, but hey, it's your call. Either way, she'll hand you an Override Cartridge and send you off.
  3. 3
Head to HRS-1084: Hop back in the Unreliable and set a course for the newly unlocked HRS-1084.
  4. 4
Explore the Station: Once you dock, head north, then take a left (west) through a doorway. You'll find yourself in a big cargo room. Keep an eye out for a note on a cargo crate – it's a corporate disclaimer about concussive mines, which are definitely around. For now, a lot of the station is a dead-end until you get the power back on. You'll notice a terminal on the north end of the cargo room that's currently under-powered – remember that for later. There are doors on the northeastern and northwestern sides of this room; both lead to areas with plenty of mines.
  5. 5
Grab the UDL ID Cartridge: Make sure you scour the station for mines. While you're at it, be sure to grab a UDL ID Cartridge from the cafeteria.
Tips
  • Pay attention to those concussive mines scattered around HRS-1084. They can really mess you up if you're not careful.
  • Remember that under-powered terminal in the cargo room. You'll need to come back to it once the power is restored.
  • Positive SubLight Reputation (if you choose the right dialogue option)
  • Override Cartridge
  • UDL ID Cartridge
