Follow this walkthrough for The Outer Worlds' Radio Free Monarch quest. Learn how to travel to Monarch, find Hiram Blythe, and recruit Nyoka to progress Phineas's plan.
Walkthrough
- 1After acquiring a Stellar Bay Navkey (either by buying from Gladys during Passage to Anywhere or completing Long Distance for the Board), return to the Unreliable.
- 2Speak with ADA to contact Phineas. He will instruct you to travel to Monarch and find an Information Broker named Hiram Blythe.
- 3Phineas will mention that finding Blythe is difficult and suggest seeking out the guide Nyoka.
- 4The quest Passage to Anywhere officially ends upon this conversation with Phineas, and Radio Free Monarch begins.
Tips
- This quest can be active concurrently with its Board equivalent, Signal Point in Space, as they share most objectives and update simultaneously.
- Both quests can be completed by speaking to both quest givers (Phineas and Akande) after their respective objectives are met.
- Upon arriving at Monarch, ADA will inform you of a strange broadcast.
- The guide assumes landing at Stellar Bay, but Cascadia is also an option.
- In Cascadia, you may encounter unique raptidons named Euryale and Stheno.
- Traveling to Cascadia without a Stellar Bay Navkey requires navigating on foot, battling enemies like raptidons and mantids.
- The route from Cascadia to Stellar Bay is arduous, especially on Supernova difficulty, but offers opportunities for loot and XP.
- Enemies encountered range from the low twenties to high teens in level and are densely populated.
- Points of interest along the route include:
- A guard building in northwestern Cascadia containing a datapad about security weaknesses and the Purpleberry Police helmet (reduces bribery costs by 10%).
- A bottling plant with raptidons, a locked door [Lockpick 100] leading to a safe [Lockpick 65] containing the Purpleberry Police armor (boosts Stealth by +5, with specific mods).
- The Hero’s Last Stand point of interest in the northern Sulfur Pits, the den of a unique raptidon named Chimera. Killing Chimera and looting corpses yields the unique light machinegun, Rapti-don’t (deals plasma damage).
- The Terra One Publications building east of the Sulfur Pits, which may be relevant for the quest Pay for the Printer and serves as a fast travel point.
- A marauder camp south of Terra One Publications containing a named marauder named Sinis.
