Guide to The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks Floor 2 (5), including defeating White Wolfos and the boss Fraaz, Master of Icy Fire.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
In the raised room to the left, ignore the torches on the purple carpet. Head south, defeat the Ice ChuChus, pass the boss door, and go north to a sign.
  2. 2
The sign displays three ice symbols and three fire symbols in a circle. Mark three torches on your map (minimap (the small circular map in the bottom-left corner of your screen)) to remember which ones to light.
  3. 3
Return to the torch room and light the torches in the correct order. Remember, you can change the Boomerang's element (fire or ice) while it is flying.
  4. 4
A door will open to the east. Head through it.
  5. 5
You will be locked into a room with White Wolfos. Corner them to defeat them easily.
  6. 6
After defeating the White Wolfos, head east and then south down a hall.
  7. 7
Step on the ground switch to create a bridge.
  8. 8
Use the Whirlwind to blow the Boss Key onto the bridge.
  9. 9
Pick up the Boss Key and use it to unlock the boss door ahead.
  10. 10
Head upstairs. Fill up with the pots if needed.
  11. 11
Read the stone tablet for a blue light portal (waypoint (a marker on your map you've manually placed as a destination)) if you require it.
  12. 12
Head up to the boss room when you are ready.

BOSS: Fraaz, Master of Icy Fire

Fraaz uses two forms of power: ice and fire, indicated by blue or red colors when he bloats up to charge. Light your Boomerang with the opposite color and hit him. If he remains the same color but smaller, hit him again quickly. This will stun Fraaz, allowing you to attack him. Repeat this process until he splits into two bodies.

Observe the color of the split-up Fraaz bodies on the top screen (HUD (heads-up display — the on-screen icons showing health, ammo and the minimap)). Use one Boomerang throw to touch each body with its weakness. If successful, Fraaz will become whole again. If not, both bodies will attack with fire and ice, so avoid getting hit.

Once Fraaz is whole again, he will destroy both torches. Use his own attacks against him; whatever he fires will remain on the stage for a while. Use the element that is against him when you can, and attack when he is stunned. He will eventually split up again. Repeat the process: wait for the Fraaz bodies to fire their elements, then target them with their weaknesses.

Tips
  • The Boomerang can switch between icy and fiery states mid-flight, which is crucial for solving the torch puzzle and fighting Fraaz.
  • Cornering White Wolfos is the easiest way to defeat them.
  • The Whirlwind is essential for moving the Boss Key onto the bridge.
  • Pay close attention to the colors Fraaz displays to determine the correct Boomerang element to use.
  • When Fraaz splits, use his own elemental attacks against him by reflecting them with the correct Boomerang element.
