Basement 2

Guide to beating Basement 2 in The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks. Learn how to defeat Stalfos, navigate lava geysers, and light torches to progress.

Alright, so you've made it to Basement 2! Don't worry, it's not too bad once you know what you're doing. You're going to get locked in here with some Stalfos, but here's the trick: your sword won't work on them. You'll need to switch to your arrows. Luckily, there's a regenerating nut nearby that'll keep you stocked up on arrows.

Once you've dealt with the Stalfos, make sure to refill your arrows. Then, head south. You'll see an arrow director on the left wall. Shoot it with an arrow, and it'll activate an eye switch. This temporarily stops the lava geysers to your right. You'll need to use your Whip to swing across before the lava starts up again, so be quick!

After that, head north and west. More Stalfos will pop up, so take them out. Then, you'll need to hop on those covered lava geysers to reach a high ledge. There's a chest up there waiting for you – open it up for a piece of Treasure! After that, swing back south.

Now, step on the switch you see to open the door, giving you free access to this area. Next, you'll need to navigate past some Blade Traps without getting hit. Head to the southernmost part of this path. There's another chest here, so grab that piece of Treasure. You'll then need to use your Boomerang to hit a Fire Keese. This will light it up, and you can use it to light the two torches nearby. This part can be a little tricky, but don't worry, the Fire Keese respawn if you mess up.

Once both torches are lit, a rock panel will drop onto a geyser to the west. This creates a new path for you to cross over to the staircase. Head on up, and you'll be out of Basement 2!
