Rip Van Fish

Learn how to defeat the fast-chasing Rip Van Fish in Super Mario World. Can be eaten by Yoshi or spun with a cape.

Rip Van Fish are blue and white sleeping fish that wake up and chase Mario when he gets close enough. They are very fast.

How to defeat:

1. Due to their speed, it is best to avoid them.
2. If you are chased, swim as fast as possible underwater.
3. Try to hide somewhere until the Rip Van Fish gives up and falls back to sleep.
4. Rip Van Fish can be defeated by a cape spin.
5. Yoshi can also eat Rip Van Fish.
