Alright, let's talk about the goodies you can snag in Super Mario World! These are the items that'll help you out, give you extra chances, or even unlock secret paths. To grab any of these, just make contact with them. Easy peasy!

• 1-Up Green Mushroom — This is your classic extra life. You'll usually find these tucked away in tricky spots, hidden blocks, or sometimes as a reward for completing mini-games or specific challenges. Keep an eye out!
• 3-Up Moon — Want three extra lives at once? These are super rare and hidden really well, so finding one is a big win!
• Starman — Grab this and you'll be invincible for a short time. You can just run right through enemies to defeat them! Rack up a chain of eight enemy defeats this way, and you'll score yourself another 1-Up. Just remember, this won't save you from falling into pits or lava, so stay sharp!
• Yoshi Egg — This is how you get Yoshi! If you already have Yoshi with you and you find one of these, it'll turn into a 1-Up Green Mushroom instead. Double win!
• Berry — You'll see these on hedges, and they're specifically for feeding Yoshi. Once Yoshi has eaten 10 red berries, he'll give you a Red Mushroom. If you feed him two pink berries, he'll create a cloud that rains coins and goodies. Collect eight of those goodies, and you'll get a 1-Up Green Mushroom! Pretty neat, huh?
• Power Balloon — See that balloon with a 'P' on it? That's your ticket to floating! It'll make Mario inflate and float for a bit, which is super handy for reaching areas or items that are normally out of reach.
• Wings — When you've got Yoshi in tow, grabbing these will give him wings! This lets you warp to a secret area. Once you finish that secret area, you'll pop back out to the world map, but don't worry, the level itself won't count as complete.
• Key — This little guy is your ticket to secret exits! You need to find the matching keyhole in the level. Once you slot the key in, you'll unlock a secret path. We'll cover more on this in the 'Key and Keyhole' section later on.
