Walkthrough

    Head right and board the moving blocks. Keep pace with them, avoiding the crossing balls and chains.

    At two used blocks, use them to keep up when they move straight up. Jump back on the block at the top when it turns. Collect the Dragon Coin on the right.

    Follow the block path under another line of blocks. Reboard on the other side where it moves along the top. Collect the Dragon Coin and mushroom from the ! block.

    As the blocks descend before the spiked passage, they will rise again. Collect the third Dragon Coin.

    When the blocks go down at the end, stay on them instead of jumping to the door. This leads to the midway checkpoint, two Dragon Coins, and a mushroom.

    Enter the door.

    Head right and defeat the two skeletons.

    Deal with the Magi-Koopa that appears.

    Go under the two stakes, defeat the skeleton, and wait for the Magi-Koopa to reappear. Dodge his attacks so they hit blocks, creating gaps.

    Hit a block for a power-up. Continue past more stakes.

    When another wall of blocks appears, wait for the Magi-Koopa to create a path. Go past the stakes.

    Jump over the lava pit and cross the yellow blocks, watching out for stakes and fireballs.

    Reach a green ! block (cape feather) and the red boss door.

Boss: Larry

  1. Larry is similar to the first boss, but with three fireballs emerging from the lava.
  2. The battle takes place on a platform that tilts left and right.
  3. Larry attacks by throwing fireballs, which are easy to avoid.
  4. Jumping on Larry makes him move down the side the platform is tilting.
  5. To defeat him: when the platform tilts one way, jump on Larry once or twice to push him to one end. Let the platform tilt the other way. When it tilts back, hit him off the edge.
