Walkthrough

    Start by jumping into the portrait leading to Tiny Island. Ignore the Goomba and jump into the water.

    Swim to the small platform with the '!' Block (contains a 1-Up Mushroom) and the fireball shooter. Swim past it to the next platform with a warp pipe.

    Drop off the side of this ledge to hit a switch, causing brown blocks to appear.

    Walk across the brown blocks, then jump to the cliff edge, grab on, and pull yourself up.

    Go up the slope, avoiding rolling cannonballs, until you reach the warp pipe.

    Go past the square hole in the wall to the field where Koopa the Quick is. Drop onto the sand, watching out for the fireball shooter.

    Enter the sea and swim to the small grassy island in the corner where the Pink Bob-Omb Buddy is. Talk to him to activate the cannon (if not already done).

    Return to the Warp Pipe just before Koopa the Quick's field and jump into it to switch worlds.

    As small Mario, go back to the island in the water's corner and jump into the cannon.

    Aim the cannon to the right towards the mountain, looking for a tree. Aim high so the tree is visible at the bottom of the scope and fire.

    Dismount and head left, past the giant Goomba. Walk across the narrow plank and go through the hole in the mountainside.

Red Coins:

  1. Coin 1: On the edge of the first platform you start on.
  2. Coin 2: On the next platform across from your starting platform.
  3. Coin 3: On the subsequent platform.
  4. Coin 4: On the platform after coin #4.
  5. Coin 5: From the platform with coin #4, look left to a lower-altitude platform.
  6. Coin 6: On the platform in front of the one with coin #5.
  7. Coin 7: Double jump to the next ledge. Avoid the fireball shooter to get this coin. You can also use the blue switch here for blue coins.
  8. Coin 8: Jump back to the previous platform, then make a long jump to the platform in the corner. Use wall kicks to ascend the two walls to reach the final coin, the star, and complete the level.
