1-Up Mushroom Locations - Tall, Tall Mountain

This guide details the locations of all 11 1-Up Mushrooms within the Tall, Tall Mountain level in Super Mario 64.

1. Mushroom 1: At the start of the level, turn around and walk to the very edge of the stage. A stationary 1-Up Mushroom is located there.
2. Mushroom 2: In the area with giant mushrooms, find the one with red coins on top. A yellow block sits on this mushroom; hit it to reveal a 1-Up Mushroom.
3. Mushroom 3: In the area with Monty Moles (after the giant mushrooms), defeat eight Monty Moles to make a 1-Up Mushroom appear.
4. Mushroom 4: In the Monty Mole area, use the platforms sticking out of the mountain to ascend. Defeat eight Monty Moles near a cluster of four to reveal a 1-Up Mushroom.
5. Mushroom 5: Ascend using the platforms sticking out of the mountain in the Monty Mole area. A stationary 1-Up Mushroom is located relatively high up on one of these platforms.
6. Mushroom 6: Before the large gap leading to the Mountain Slide, walk to the edge you would normally long jump from. Turn left to find a small, often overlooked platform with a stationary 1-Up Mushroom.
7. Mushroom 7: Enter the Mountain Slide. In the first room, walk to all four corners to make a 1-Up Mushroom appear in the center.
8. Mushroom 8: Enter the Mountain Slide and proceed past the first room into the open area. Before going down the slide, turn around to find a 1-Up Mushroom and a yellow coin.
9. Mushroom 9: While sliding down the Mountain Slide, look for a 1-Up Mushroom just after the first row of yellow coins. If missed, you must restart the slide.
10. Mushroom 10: During the Mountain Slide, a 1-Up Mushroom appears just after the second blue coin. If missed, you must restart the slide.
11. Mushroom 11: Past the Mountain Slide entrance, find a vine platform with three Goombas. Walk in the middle to make butterflies appear. Punch or jump-kick the correct butterfly to transform it into a 1-Up Mushroom. Be cautious, as they can also turn into exploding black balls.
