Walkthrough
- 1Coin 1: From the start, head towards that big stone slope. Don't go up it, though! Instead, veer left. You'll find some cycling elevators. Hop on one, and as it takes you up, keep an eye out to your left – the first Red Coin will be there.
- 2Coin 2: Remember the field where you used the cannon to blast yourself to the island in the sky? Head back there. This time, climb up the steep rock face on the *other* side, and you'll find the second Red Coin waiting at the very top.
- 3Coin 3: This one's a bit more dangerous! Go to where the Chain Chomp is tied up. The Red Coin is sitting right on top of the stake that it's chained to. Just be careful not to get too close to the Chomp!
- 4Coin 4: Head to the field where the Power Star marker is located. Before you reach the stone steps, and after crossing the seesaw bridge (the one you passed after dealing with the Chain Chomp), take a left turn. The fourth Red Coin is waiting for you there.
- 5Coin 5: You'll find this one in the exact same spot as Coin 4. Just turn left in the field before the stone steps after crossing the seesaw.
- 6Coin 6: Make your way to where the opening in the bars was (you might have used it to enter this area). Instead of going through, look down the slope just below those bars. Slide down, and in the next little area, you'll find the sixth Red Coin. You'll also see a 1-Up Mushroom and a switch that opens the gate back to the starting area.
- 7Coin 7: Now, go through that opening in the bars that leads into the mountain. As soon as you enter, you'll see the seventh Red Coin on a slope right in front of you. You can actually just walk onto it to collect it.
- 8Coin 8: Time for the cannon again! Shoot yourself over to the island in the sky. The final Red Coin is perched right on top of the tree there. Once you grab this one, you're all set! You can even use the cannon to blast across the field to the star marker to grab your prize even faster.
