Ruins Shines

Cold Cove Combat: Head to Slipskate Slope and stay underneath the island. Ground Pound a purple button to create an arena. Defeat the Cat Goombas and Fire Piranha Plants to earn a Cat Shine.

Toad Brigade: Stuck under the Slope: Go to Slipskate Slope and grab a Propeller Block. Travel past the first set of spikes and drop down. Look for a ledge underneath the bridge to find a Toad Brigade member and earn a Cat Shine.

Gazing Down at the Islands: Go to the island with the Ruins Giga Bell. Have Bowser destroy the Fury Blocks to reveal a cannon. Ride the cannon to a platform in the sky and follow the invisible cloud platforms to reach a Cat Shine.

Hurry! Swim and Slide!: After the previous Shine, find the Plessie ring in the water. Ride Plessie through the ring to start a timed challenge. Follow the path with speed boost pads to reach the Cat Shine at the end.

Lost Kittens near the Ruins: Travel to the island with the Ruins Giga Bell and find the mother cat. Retrieve three lost kittens and return them to her to earn a Cat Shine.

• Kitten #1: Requires the Cat Suit. Go to Clawswipe Colosseum and find the kitten on top of the gate. Use the underwater platforms to return to the mother.

Kitten #2: Located on the shore near the cannon used for 'Gazing Down at the Islands'.

Kitten #3: Found by the gate to Crisp Climb Castle. Bring it to the rising platforms near Crisp Climb Castle, ride them to Trickity Tower, and then run back to the Giga Bell, avoiding water.

Dash and Smash in the Clouds: Near the Ruins Giga Bell, climb the tallest bell tree on a small island to find a cloud cannon. This leads to a bonus area where you must defeat all enemies before they respawn or you fall. Defeating all enemies spawns a Cat Shine.

Ruins Rabbit Plays Tag: North of Clawswipe Colosseum, find a rabbit on a small island. Chase and touch the rabbit to earn a Cat Shine.

Plessie Medal Mania: Northwest of Trickity Tower, find a dock with a Plessie medal. Follow the medals on the water and icy platforms at Crisp Climb Castle, leaving Plessie to reach a higher ledge, then rejoining Plessie for the rest.

Lake Rabbit Plays Tag: South of Crisp Climb Castle, find a rabbit on a small island. Chase the rabbit as it leads you through a secret tunnel, the Lakeside Giga Bell region, and back to the Ruins area to earn a Cat Shine.
