Walkthrough

As Sonic and Tails, proceed to the battle with Robotnik in the Sandopolis Zone.

Activate Debug Mode (a mode that allows you to place objects and modify the game).

Paste the Monitor Template using Debug Mode.

Open the Monitor Template to transform into Hyper Sonic.

Use Debug Mode to position yourself behind Robotnik.

Attempt to attack Robotnik.

While Tails is attacking Robotnik from the front and Sonic (you) are attacking from the back, the two characters' sprites will merge.

This merge will create another Tails character on screen, but this duplicate Tails is actually Sonic.

You will notice that Hyper Sonic is no longer invincible.

After defeating Robotnik, you will proceed to the Lava Reef Zone as normal.
