    When the floor begins to shake, Dr. Robotnik's Giant Robot will appear on the left side of the screen.

    The robot will use its six fingers to pound the floor. Each finger requires 3 hits to destroy, for a total of 18 hits across all fingers.

    You can use the Spin Dash ability to quickly move between the sets of fingers and destroy them more efficiently.

    Once all six fingers are destroyed, the Giant Robot will sink beneath the floor.

    As the floor starts to collapse again, the Giant Robot will surface once more on the left side of the screen for the second part of the boss battle.

    This second phase requires you to hit the Giant Robot 8 times.
