    In Act 2, run down the slope and grab the Insta-Shield.

    Run through the loop-de-loops and head across the bridge.

    Go through the next series of loop-de-loops and Spin Dash through the tunnel.

When the machine encircles itself with snowballs, make sure Sonic/Tails is on the right side of the screen. After a while, the ice balls will fly into the air and drop down shortly afterwards. Attack the machine, and you might be able to destroy it. If not, wait for it to repeat its moves.

  • Be careful when jumping over Robotnik items, as breaking them can cost you Rings or a life.
  • Position yourself on the right side of the screen when the machine is surrounded by snowballs.
