Walkthrough

    As Sonic or Tails, go to the Launch Base Zone where Knuckles battles the Mini-Boss.

    When you see the Starpost (a special marker) above the Mini-Boss, switch from Debug Mode (a mode allowing free movement and object placement) to Normal Mode.

    Activate the Starpost.

    Warning: Intentionally lose a life. This is required to access the Mini-Boss area.

    After losing a life, you will respawn (reappear) at the Starpost.

    You should now be able to proceed right and then down to access the Mini-Boss area.

    When the Mini-Boss Battle begins, you will be fighting two Mini-Bosses instead of the usual one.

    If you destroy one Mini-Boss, the Act will end, but the other Mini-Boss will remain.

    After this, you will start Act 2 in Knuckles' version of the Launch Base Zone.
