Walkthrough

    At the start of the Act, head right past the quicksand and push a switch all the way to open a door.

    Continue right until you are bounced into a sand waterfall. Take it to the top.

    Instead of going right, go left through the still-open door (if the switch was pushed fully and you weren't too slow).

    Head left to find an electrical shield (glossed: an item that grants temporary protection and special abilities) underneath a small sand waterfall. Collect it and keep it.

    If the door has closed, use the nearby switch to reopen it.

    Head right as usual and release the ghosts.

    Push the switch to pass through the room and reach the sand slides.
  8. 8
    Take the first sand slide down. When you drop to another slide, use your electric shield effect to make your way up this slide instead of down.

    You will reach the top where another slide heads left. Take this slide down.
  10. 10
    You will reach a secluded room containing the Giant Ring.
Tips
  • When using the electric shield effect to climb the slide, it is more effective if you wait until you are falling back down to use the double jump effect. This will make you head right a lot easier.
  • The electric shield is the hardest way to climb the slide.
  • If you have gained your Super form by now (for Hyper Sonic or extra rings), your enhanced jumping ability will be more than enough to make it up the slide.
  • The fire shield works even better if you managed to keep one from the previous act.
