    When Robotnik appears from the right, he drops a ball that bounces towards you. Jump to dodge it.

    Robotnik will position his machine over the ball, creating an energy suction that pulls you in. Run in the opposite direction to avoid damage.

    When Robotnik is in the air, your jumps will be too low to hit him.

    As Robotnik proceeds to pick up the ball, you'll have a chance to attack. Hit him once and wait for him to repeat his attack pattern.

    Alternatively, you can use Sonic's Insta-Shield (a temporary protective barrier) to hit Robotnik repeatedly without getting hurt, when he isn't creating an energy suction.

    If you're playing as Tails, you can fly up to hit Robotnik, but be aware that the ball and energy suction will still hurt you.

    After opening the Prison Egg, go right and jump into the nearby cannon.

    The cannon will catapult you into the sky, sending you to Icecap Zone.
Tips
  • Use Sonic's Insta-Shield for a more aggressive attack pattern, hitting Robotnik multiple times without taking damage when he is not using his suction ability.
  • Be cautious when playing as Tails, as his flight does not protect him from the ball or suction hazards.
