Master Sonic Heroes Part 3! Learn about Speed, Power, and Flying characters, explore Team differences (Sonic, Dark, Rose, Chaotix), and master Team Blast mechanics.

This section covers the different character types, team dynamics, and core gameplay mechanics in Sonic Heroes.

Character Types:

  • Speed Characters: Sonic, Shadow, Amy, Espio. Abilities include homing attack and light speed dash (Sonic and Shadow only).
  • Power Characters: Knuckles, Omega, Big, Vector. Strongest type, capable of destroying debris, flying on air vents, and using a special homing attack with teammates.
  • Flying Characters: Tails, Rouge, Cream, Charmy. Primarily used to bring down flying enemies and lift teammates over ledges. They are always in flying mode unless other characters are unusable.

  • Team Rose: The easiest team, ideal for newcomers or those unfamiliar with previous Sonic games. Features shorter levels, fewer enemies, and easier boss battles.
  • Team Chaotix: Unique mission-based gameplay with objectives like collecting items. Best for players skilled at collection tasks.

Gameplay Mechanics:

  • Changing Characters: Press Y or X (GameCube version) to switch between the lead character. The left icon corresponds to Y, and the right to X.
  • Team Blast: A special team move that can defeat all enemies on screen, stop time briefly, or stun bosses.
    • Filling the Team Blast Gauge: Collect Rings, kill enemies, perform attacks, or grab Team Blast Item boxes.
    • Executing Team Blast: Once the gauge is full,

This section of the guide covers the fundamental mechanics of Sonic Heroes, essential for progressing through the game. Understanding these elements will help you execute attacks easier and survive the challenges ahead.

When hit by an enemy, you lose all your rings, but they scatter and can be re-collected. Only the team leader can be damaged; team members hit do not lose rings. You lose all rings upon death, getting hit by an enemy, or switching levels. Team members can also pick up rings.

Character Gates: These special gates appear in each level and serve two purposes: 1) Gates with
