- 1Finding Keys: Keys may not appear every time you enter an act. If you don't see one, quit and re-enter the level. You'll see your key count increase in the Map area.
- 2Zone 1 Act 1: Look for a key on a platform to the right of the first Omochao, possibly with a ladybug on it. A Sonic team is recommended.
- 3Zone 2 Act 3: After passing a spring that pushes you back, jump over it to find a key to the left of a 5-ring item box and a waterfall. A Tails/Amy or Knuckles/Tails team is recommended.
- 4Zone 3 Act 3: A key might be found near where the first Chao was located. Any team is recommended.
- 5Zone 4 Act 2: Push right from the start. You'll find a small hole with a jack-in-the-box. A key sometimes floats above it; be careful to land on the box when grabbing it. Any team is recommended.

- 11Zone 2 Special Spring: From the Factory Ring, head right past the Act 1 Ring to a red spring. Hit it and land right near flowers. Jump over a hole to find a blue and yellow spring. Use this trampoline spring to go straight up, land on a moving platform, and then jump left to find the Special Spring.
- 12Zone 3 Special Spring: Right of the Act 3 Ring, press a switch. Quickly run left to a spring near a waterfall activated by the switch. Jump on it and land as far right as possible. Alternatively, use Tag Action High Jump left of the Act 3 ring.
- 13Zone 4 Special Spring: Go left from the Act 1 Ring to a rocket. After it explodes, fall left and hit a blue balloon. This bounces you to a higher area with a speed booster, then a spring. Try to go straight up from this spring to land next to the Special Spring. Tag Action High Jump can be used to reach the rocket area faster.
- 14Zone 5 Special Spring: Right of the Factory Ring, use Flight or Tag Action High Jump to go up a ceiling hole. The Special Spring is to the left.
