This guide covers finding Chao in Zone 5 and Zone 6 of Sonic Advance 3. Zone 6, Cyber Track, features gravity reversals and a computer-themed aesthetic similar to Sonic Advance 2's Techno Base.

Zone 5 Chao:

  1. Chao #9: Located near the end of the act. After a checkpoint, you'll grind a rail and then run over water. Jump into the water, head left, and you'll find the Chao and a ? Ring Item Box near the left wall.
  2. Chao #10: Found in a small room below the Act 2 Ring. Jump between the platform and the moving platform to its right, then push left while descending to hug the wall and land in the room. If you fall too far, use Flight, Climbing, or Tag Action High Jump to return. Otherwise, you'll hit a speed booster and restart from the moving platforms.

Zone 6: Cyber Track Chao:

Zone 6 Act 1 Chao:

Recommended Abilities: Climbing, Flight, or Gliding. Tough Barrier Break is required for Chao #3.

  1. Chao #1: From the start, grind a rail that slopes down then up. Jump right to another rail above and continue grinding. You'll enter a machine; choose to be spit out 'up'. Continue right until you hit a trampoline spring against a wall. Use it to go right, avoiding spikes and a spider badnik. Past a 5 Ring item box, jump down. A spring will send you into another machine; choose 'up'. Gravity reverses; go right. Hit a spring that sends you down, gravity normalizes, and a speed booster sends you right. Run up a wall and into the air. At the top, use a trampoline spring to jump to the first rail high above. Grind left. You'll hit the checkpoint. Just left of that, a spring lands you on a wheel. Below and right of that wheel is another. The Chao is flying slightly above and right of this second wheel; jump to get it.
  2. Chao #2: From the higher wheel, jump to the platform directly above where Chao #1 was. Go right, over spikes, and defeat a caterpillar badnik. Grind the next rail to its end, then use the spring to launch right. Carefully jump over two sets of spikes, avoiding a spider badnik, and continue right. In a gap, you'll find a tracked platform. This platform leads to Chao #3's area, but you need to jump off it to get Chao #2, which is on a platform below.
  3. Chao #3: Requires Tough Barrier Break. Flight or Climbing recommended. If you had stayed on the tracked platform from Chao #2, it would lead here. The tracked platform to the right of Chao #2 does not go to the same area. Jumping left from Chao #2 requires a long jump. Knuckles' Gliding and Climbing can work from below with precise timing, or Cream can simply fly over. Head right; gravity reverses, and you'll grind a rail right. Gravity reverses again, leading to a barrier requiring Tough Barrier Break. The Chao is on the other side.

Zone 6 Act 2 Chao:

The Chao in this act are relatively easy to find, with most paths leading near them.
