Walkthrough
- 1Jump up a narrow waterfall to find an item in the air to the left.
- 2Slide down a waterslide, then fall and slide right. Near the end of the second waterslide, attempt to jump off to the right to hit two purple badniks blocking a gap (Shortcut #2). If unsuccessful, use Amy's Air Tag Action or Tag Action High Jump to land back on the waterslide and try again.
- 3This gap bypasses a large underwater area. Head right and pass through a fake wall.
- 4Jump into the water below to find a spring that propels you through a floor.
- 5Hit the spring to your left, which will send you running up a wall. Enter the cannon at the top.
- 6While in the air, head right to hit a spring on the wall.
- 7This spring leads to another cannon. Hit the spring on the left wall, then enter another cannon.
- 8Hit the spring on the right wall. Avoid the red badnik.
- 9Press the blue switch against the left wall and get on the appearing platform. Hit the speed booster to the left.
- 10Continue through more speed boosters and up surfaces until you hit the checkpoint. You will be launched into the air.
- 11Try to land on the rail above, or use the red spring below to reach it. Grind across.
- 12Keep going left until you hit a wall. Jump up to be sucked into a duct, watching out for a spike trap.
- 13Go left, then use a spring that sends you airborne to the right. Bounce up a small pole, hit a speed booster, and you will end up on the ceiling.
- 14You will land in a waterfall. Optionally, collect the 5 Ring Item Box on the floor.
- 15Jump up the waterfall. When a moving platform appears to the left, jump on it.
- 16When the platform is near the top, jump up to the left, or jump on the small pole on the left wall to be sucked into a duct.
- 17You will travel right and be stopped by spikes before a gap. Jump onto a conveyor belt platform moving to your right.
- 18When the platform is farthest right, jump through the upper gap in the wall with the three rings.
- 19Continue right to find an Invincibility Item Box. Collect it and proceed right.
- 20You will see a hole in the floor with a crusher. Jump into the gap to the right of the hole, not the hole itself, as invincibility does not protect from crushing.
- 21Defeat the red badnik, head right, and jump over the next hole in the floor.
- 22Avoid more spikes and hit the spring you see.
- 23You will go down and right, hitting a wall. Use the small pole to spring upwards.
- 24Use the spring to jump up through a floor, avoiding the rail.
- 25Go right and encounter a crusher with a spike indicator. Wait for it to be safe, then jump on it and head right.
- 26Hit the checkpoint, then stop at the gap to its right.
- 27Jump onto a conveyor belt platform, similar to the previous one.
- 28When the platform is at the farthest right, jump to the upper right gap.
- 29Go right and hit the spring, which will send you up the wall and onto the ceiling.
- 30You will fall down between spikes on your right and a cannon on your left. Enter the cannon.
- 31Be careful of a lamprey immediately after being shot through the floor. Jump up and head right.
- 32Hit the spring, which will send you into a small pole on the left wall.
- 33This pole will spring you up farther. Watch out for the red badnik.
- 34You will be on a platform. To the left, a platform is on a track in a gap. Above this platform is a flying Chao. Use Flight, Climbing, or a risky Tag Action High Jump to reach it.
Tips
- Shortcut #2 on the waterslide can be tricky; practice the jump to the right.
- Fake walls can be passed through.
- Be aware of spike traps and crushers, especially when invincibility is active.
- Using a character with Flight or Climbing abilities can make reaching certain collectibles easier.
Chao Locations (Zone 3 Act 3):
- Chao #9: From the start, head right. After the launch ramp, jump down to the right of it. The Chao is at the bottom near the left wall. Use the waterfall to return to the main path.
- Chao #10: Right before the goal, while running across water, jump into the water instead of proceeding to the goal. Head left into a small room with a spike trap. The Chao is past the spikes.
