Part 9

Enter the door and find a PICKAXE in the mining cart. Use it to break open the wooded door.

Squeeze through a rock layer and go through the next door.

In the open area, head up the staircase to the water flow controls.

Locate an upright box and move it to block the wooden wall from fully descending.

Adjust the water wheels: Far left wheel LEFT 3 times, middle wheel 2 times, right wheel ONCE. This should activate the pump. (On Hard Puzzle mode, the sequence is different: middle wheel DOWN 2 times, left wheel to pour water 3 times, then right wheel ONCE for pump and TWICE for elevator).

Head back down the stairs and through the narrow rock area. Defeat the Screamer in the water (you can get free hits).

In the less-flooded section, head left to find [PISTOL BULLETS] and a [FIRST AID KIT].

Return to the water control center and turn the right wheel LEFT ONCE to power the elevator.

Head to the elevator and go down. Watch the scene.

Continue forward, fight the Screamer, and push a mine cart to proceed.

Enter the next door and pick up the [TRAIN ACCIDENT] mystery item. Grab the [FIRST AID KIT] in the room.

Prepare to face the WEEPING BAT. This enemy clings to ceilings and has a dangerous drop attack.

If needed, grab the new pickaxe to the right. Continue past the Weeping Bat.

Break down the wood blocking the ladder, climb it, and take the elevator.

After the scene with JP and Murphy, use the lever to open a door and proceed.

In the wide open area, you can fight a lone Weeping Bat. To the left is a building; to the right is a dead end with a pickaxe.

Enter the building and go through the left door.

Break down the wooden door guarded by a Weeping Bat. Activate the plunger to blow up rocks below.

In the room with glass display cases, turn on the radio and search for a [FIRST AID KIT].

Head back outside. Another Weeping Bat guards the path to the next elevator. You can run past it.

Take the elevator down. After exiting, face and defeat a Screamer.

Inspect the body to the left to find the [POEM].
