Guide to solving the Centennial Building puzzle in Silent Hill: Downpour. Find the ID Card, Employee Review, and navigate the Otherworld to escape.
Walkthrough
- 1The code for the vault is 961 (IX, VI, I).
- 2Head to the vault and enter the code 961 from left to right.
- 3Inside, search the body on the left to find the [ID CARD].
- 4Search the desk for the [EMPLOYEE REVIEW]. Note: On HARD puzzle difficulty, the Employee Review might be in a book on a nearby bookcase, identifiable with the UV light. Check this regardless of difficulty.
- 5Return to the elevator and use the ID Card. Select the 18th floor and head up.
- 6Upon exiting the elevator, grab the [STUDIO MAP] from the right wall.
- 7Proceed forward and you will see DJ Ricks behind glass on the left.
- 8You can check the break room on the right to hear an older voice.
- 9Head to the eastern door. Use the UV light to reveal the words "Point of no return" on the ground.
- 10Enter the door to trigger a long cutscene involving DJ Ricks, the cop, and uninvited guests.
- 11After the cutscene, you will be in The Centennial Building Otherworld. You should receive the 'Found a Friend!' bronze trophy.
- 12Look for a fire exit door and a pile of trash nearby.
- 13Go into the left room for a [FIRST AID KIT] in a cabinet.
- 14Search the other room for [DILUENT].
- 15Pour the Diluent on the trash pile.
- 16Use your lighter on the trash pile to ignite it.
- 17As sprinklers activate, stand by the fire door. The VOID will appear, transforming the area into the OTHERWORLD.
- 18Run immediately and knock over a container.
- 19When the path splits, go STRAIGHT.
- 20Take the first left and run to a hole.
- 21As soon as you land, take a right into the room with a mirror (marked by an 'emergency exit' sign).
- 22Turn the invisible handle under the sign and enter the new room. The VOID will return.
- 23Quickly take the door on your right and turn the handle.
- 24Run away, knocking over objects to slow the Void. Steer left into a parking area.
- 25Avoid falling cars and obstacles.
- 26Look for a flip lever on the wall to your right and activate it to turn on a fan and open a door. The fan will suck in the Void.
- 27Continue forward and hit the switch (hanging upwards) to open a door.
- 28Proceed until you are forced into a cage for a ride.
- 29After the ride stops, the VOID will appear again. Run to the right, zig-zagging through dropping cages.
- 30Continue running; the floor will give way, stopping the Void.
- 31Down here, grab the [FIRST AID KIT] to your left.
- 32Take either the left or right path. You will encounter a Wall Monster.
- 33Combat Primer: Wall Monster: This enemy is stuck to the wall. It attacks by spitting acid or blood. Wait for it to finish attacking before running past.
- 34Reach the other end and throw the switch to open doors.
- 35In the next area, let cages fall to create holes in the floor.
- 36Check the left-hand rooms for a [FIRST AID KIT].
