Part 10

Follow the path down to the train and solve the puzzle to activate it. Escape Silent Hill and explore the outskirts, finding useful items and unlocking pre-order bonuses.

Follow the path down to the train. At the end is a control panel with buttons to activate the train. The solution depends on the difficulty:

Easy: Red, Blue, Orange; E, A, C

Normal: Blue, Green, Grey, Orange; A, B, D, C

Hard: Grey, Red, Green, Blue; D, E, B, A

After solving the puzzle, enter the mine cart. You'll experience several cutscenes and a part where you must jam the left analog stick. After regaining control, talk to the cop until she refuses to talk. Continue past a door and avoid the puddle with live wires. Inspect the switch in the box on the left to open the chain door. Continue on and examine the left portion of the room with the radio to find a [FLASHLIGHT], then check the right part of the room to crawl through a hole in the wall. On a desk ahead is the [SILENT HILL MAP].

OBJECTIVE COMPLETE: Find a way into town.

OBJECTIVE: Escape from Silent Hill.

Welcome back to Silent Hill! You are now on the outskirts of Silent Hill. Take a left and head back to a parking lot where you'll find a boarded-up door (there's a hatchet to the left if needed). Break the boards and head inside to find a green locker.

This locker contains items that vary depending on the CODE you put in. These were originally pre-order bonuses.

Head through the hole to reach the streets of Silent Hill. Explore the left edge of the street to find a house with an alley on its left. Head down the alley, and before taking the stairs further down, take a right to the back of the house. Go forward to the back of the next house and check the back porch for a [FIRST AID KIT].

(-NOTE-) You should get the 'Going off the Rails' bronze trophy now.

Head back and go down the stairs. The map opens up. The only mandatory objective is to head to the APARTMENT ENTRY HOUSE (northeast of the Police Station on Lansdale Ave). Head to the back of the house and use a fireplace poker to climb the ladder.
