Starting a Game

From the title screen, you can choose:

  • New Game: Begin the story from the start.
  • Continue: Load a previously saved game.
  • Options: Adjust settings like camera controls, sound, and display.

To start a new game with all collected alternate outfits, hold the button while selecting New Game if you have Game Clear data.

Saving a Game

You can save your progress by stepping on a transporter circle found in the field or in dungeons.

Main Menu

Press the button in the field to open the Main Menu. You can also access the Battle Menu in combat by pressing the button, and then press the button again to open the Main Menu.

Items

The Items Menu allows you to use or equip items. The upper right corner displays your current money, the number of unique items in your inventory, and the total in Item Storage. Each page shows up to 40 items. Use the / buttons to cycle through pages. Select an item with the button to see actions like Use, Equip, Arrange, or Discard. Press the button after selecting an item to move it, and use the button to split item stacks. The Info Edge is a starting item that stores important information, accessible from the Item Screen.

Allies

The Allies Menu lets you view party status and equipment. Character stats include Level (Lv), Hit Points (HP), Ability Points (AP), Experience (EXP), Strength (STR), Aim (AIM), Vitality (VIT), Main Weapon attack power, Sub-Weapon attack power, Defense, and Defense Status (resistance to elements and status effects). From this screen, you can Swap Allies (Jaster cannot be swapped), Switch Characters (the one controlled is marked 'Player', switch in the field with the button), view or change Equipment, and check Abilities. Press the button to view ability details.

Strategy

The Strategy Menu sets tactics for AI-controlled characters and allows you to disable their suggestions. Team Commands include Fight Separately, Pick Same Target, Go All-Out, and Step Back.

Revelation

This menu shows each character's abilities. Access their Revelation Flow Chart to learn new abilities, improve stats, and increase resistances by inserting items.

Battle Recorder

The Battle Recorder tracks defeated enemies, Hunter Points earned, and bounty information for Quarries, showing your hunter ranking.

Other Menus

Additional menu headings will appear as you progress through the game.
