Chapter 7 - Valkog's Ambition

Complete guide to Chapter 7: Valkog's Ambition in Rogue Company. Learn about party selection, new blueprints, hunting quarries, and rare item collection.

You begin Chapter 7 controlling Jaster aboard the Dorgenark docked at the Rosa: Spaceport. Beginning in Chapter 7, you are free to select the members of your battle party from the Allies heading of the Main Menu. Pick a party member and choose "Swap Allies," then choose the party member to switch with. Jupis and Zegram are logical choices for party members, but choose whomever you like.

Before you set out through the desert, there are some side quests you can work on.

New Blueprints

Teleport to the Rosa: Spaceport and head back south. Enter the plaza on the east side and talk to Agassimo. Teleport to Rosa: Near the Church and enter the church. Talk to Misanna to get the Blueprint for the Seven-Star Sword, Sword of Frozen Fate.

Hunting Quarries

Head to Zerard first and teleport to the Galaxy Corporation. Faye has some new Quarry Sheets available: The Steel Shipwright, The Wayward Phantasm, and The Voracious Wanderer. You will have to wait a while on the first two, but you can complete The Voracious Wanderer Quarry before continuing the mission on Rosa. Now that you can choose your party, you will have a better chance challenging the Quarry: The Cave Bandit in the Vedan: Rockbelter Mine Near the Tablet Pit.

Rare Items

One of the entries on MIO's Completion Checklist is finding Rare Items. You can begin collecting some of these Rare Items now: Character Mug, Maid Robot Betty, and The Annals of Hades. Be sure to talk to Rodullier in the Myna Item Shop after you obtain the Annals of Hades, as it will set up something good later. You can obtain the Character Mug now and The Annals of Hades if you have a Platinum License. You won't be able to obtain Maid Robot Betty until later.

Stock up on bait and food so you can continue catching and raising Insectors as you go through the desert. When you are ready to move on, teleport to the Rosa: Salgin Residential Area: Plaza and leave Salgin through the gate near the Transporter.
