Discover optional planets, the challenging Ghost Ship, the Hunting Record, Quarries, Hunter's Licenses, and more in this Rogue Company guide.
Hey there! So you've been playing Rogue Company and are wondering what else there is to do besides the main story? Well, you're in luck! This game is packed with extra stuff to keep you busy. Let's dive into some of the cool optional features you can explore.
Optional Locations
Beyond the main story, you'll unlock an entire ocean planet called Alistia later on. It's got its own little side story, new enemies to fight, and some sweet treasures to find. Once you've beaten the game, don't forget about the Ghost Ship! It's a super spooky place where you'll run into bosses that might look familiar. If you manage to conquer that, get ready for the Ghost Ship Extreme – a massive 100-floor dungeon filled with tough enemies and a boss every 10 floors. It's a serious challenge!
The Hunting Record
Ever wanted to see how you stack up against other players in terms of monster-slaying? Your Battle Recorder keeps track of every beast you take down. If you defeat a certain number of a specific enemy, you'll earn Hunter Points. You can check the Hunter Rankings to see your progress, and as you climb higher, you might even snag some cool prizes.
Quarries
These are basically super-powered beasts that the Galaxy Corporation puts on their 'Most Wanted' list. Tracking down and defeating one of these Quarries will net you a huge amount of Hunter Points, so they're definitely worth hunting down.
Hunter's Licenses
Head over to the Galaxy Corporation to trade in those Hunter Coins you earn from Challenge Battles. You can get Hunter's Licenses, which give you discounts at any Shop. Here's the breakdown:
- Silver License: Costs 20 Hunter Coins and gives you a 10% shop discount.
- Gold License: Requires a Silver License plus 40 more Hunter Coins. This bumps your discount up to 20%.
- Platinum License: Needs a Gold License and another 60 Hunter Coins. You get that same 20% discount, plus you can buy secret items!
Weapon Synthesis
As you play, you'll get the ability to combine two weapons to make a stronger one. There are tons of different combinations, so always be on the lookout for ways to upgrade your gear by synthesizing what you find or buy.
The Frog Log
Funny story, weapon synthesis is actually handled by a little guy named Toady, who you'll become friends with. You can find him in your Item inventory. Talk to him, and he can even give you tips on which weapons to combine. If you follow his advice enough, you might even get a prize!
Seven-Star Swords
Keep an eye out across the galaxy for seven legendary swords that Jaster can equip. You can level them up by combining them with other swords. Once they're fully powered up, these Seven-Star Swords are way stronger than any regular weapons. Finding all of them will earn you a Trophy, so happy hunting!
Learning Abilities
This is where you really customize your characters. You learn new abilities by putting items into the Revelation Flow Chart. You can get attack and support skills, boost your stats, and improve your resistances. If you plug in the right items, you'll unlock abilities. Sometimes learning one ability can open up others on the Chart, and it often branches out, letting you pick what fits your playstyle best.
The Factory
Later in the game, you'll get access to The Factory, where you can craft your own weapons and items. You'll need to find Blueprints, which act as guides for setting up assembly lines on the factory floor. Follow the Blueprint's plan to refine items you have and create new ones. Once you craft something in the Factory, it'll usually become available to buy in the shops too.
Insectron
This is a fun side activity where you collect Insectors – think of them as collectible creatures. There are lots of different types, each with unique strengths and abilities. You'll need the right trap, bait, and location to catch them. Once you've got a team, you can train them up and battle against other players' teams in the Insectron Tournament. It's a whole game within the game!
