Explore ruins on Juraika, Zerard, and Vedan in Rogue Company's Chapter 8. Find new items, blueprints, and face challenging bosses. Prepare for the final boss!
When you regain control after the Chapter 7 events, you will be below deck on the Dorgenark. The party is Jaster, Kisala and Zegram. You can swap allies to form your preferred party.
During Chapter 8, you will search for and explore ruins on Juraika, Zerard and Vedan. You are free to take them in any order. They are presented here in the order you originally visited the planets and the order the enemies will appear in the Hunting Record. Zerard is the most challenging of the three and you may want to save it for last.
The ruins are new areas on Juraika, Zerard and Vedan where you will encounter new enemies. If you go to previously-explored areas on those planets, the new ruins enemies can appear in the old areas too.
There are a lot of items to find and you will be able to create several new items in the Factory. Many shops have added to their inventory and you can obtain some good items and weapons not available earlier. Chapter 8 also provides ample opportunity to gain experience, synthesize weapons, work on enemy quotas and raise Insectors. As you might expect, there will be a boss battle when you reach your goal in each area. Returning to the Dorgenark after defeating the boss in the last area you explore will bring Chapter 8 to a close and the story will automatically continue. It is recommended that you wait to defeat the final boss until you are sure you have done everything you want to do during Chapter 8.
Before you set out, there are some things you can do, beginning here on Rosa.
Seven-Star Sword
If you got The Annals of Hades Rare Item and talked to Rodullier in the Myna Item Shop, Teleport to Rosa: Ancient Ruins Near the Tunnel and go through the tunnel. In front of the arch in the Great Tablet area, speak with the Elderly Man. Reply "No" to his question and he will give you the Seven-Star Sword, Great Caesar.
While in the Tablet area, be sure to activate the Transporter that your battle with Seed prevented you from reaching.
New Blueprints
You can get the blueprints for some new weapons in Salgin:
- Pedock at the Rosa: Depot has half of Blueprint 12: Off-the-Hook CD Case.
- Alban in the small area at the south end of the Residential Area has half of Blueprint 09: Sword of Vivid Moonlight.
- Mukajiri in the Residential Area Item Shop has the other half of Blueprint 09: Sword of Vivid Moonlight.
- Yorkman in the Weapon Shop has half of Blueprint 02: Sword of Biting Gales.
- Dorban in the Salgin Item Shop has half of Blueprint 05: Claw Glowing With Evil.
There are several other blueprints available on the other planets. If you want to focus on Factory work, you can collect those blueprints before tackling the ruins on those planets. Collect them all now, if you like. Scroll down the page to the section covering another planet and there will be a list like this one describing blueprints now available.
Quarries
Head to Zerard and teleport to the Galaxy Corporation. Stop at Faye's desk in the back of the reception area and you can buy some new Quarry Sheets.
- The Shapeless Assassin
- The Tower Predator
- The Tower Matador (must hold Hunter Ranking 20 or higher)
You will be able to hunt these Quarries in the ruins you find.
You should already have the Quarry Sheet for The Steel Shipwright, and you can hunt it now. Teleport to Starship Factory: Near Pocacchio's Lab and head west. Go back through the looping path and enter Assembly Line 3A. The robot peddler, Bivine, will now sell you the Cyclonic Pump you need to lure out the quarry. (Buy 3, you will need them for Revelation Flow and the Factory).
