The trade-in system in Rocket League allows players to exchange five items of the same rarity for one item of a higher rarity. This system is primarily used for cosmetic items like decals, wheels, and goal explosions. Painted variants of Common bodies can be obtained via the trade-in system, classified as Import rarity.

How Trade-Ins Work:

1. Players can trade in five items of the same rarity (e.g., five Uncommon items).
2. The trade-in results in one item of the next highest rarity (e.g., five Uncommon items yield one Rare item).
3. The item received is typically from the same series or category as the items traded in, but can also be a painted variant of a Common body.

Items That Can Be Traded:

• Decals
• Wheels
• Rocket Boosts
• Toppers
• Antennas
• Goal Explosions
• Common Bodies (painted variants)

Important Notes:

• Items from different series or categories cannot be traded together.
• Trade-ups involving items from specific Rocket Passes or event items may have different rules or may not be possible.
• The rarity progression is typically: Common → Uncommon → Rare → Very Rare → Import → Exotic → Black Market.
