Description: The M82A1 SR is the first .50cal sniper rifle to see widespread use. Its considerable length (1.55m) and weight (13.4kg) make it the largest sniper rifle in RAINBOW's arsenal. Extreme care should be used when employing this weapon, as its high-powered .50cal M33 round can tear through multiple targets as easily as it can through an engine block.

Peripherals:

• Sound Suppressor: Reduces weapon noise, but increases weight and decreases damage due to subsonic ammunition. Range is decreased by 43, Accuracy increased by 11, Stability increased by 81, and Recovery decreased by 8. The Sound Suppressor does not affect the damage of the M82A1.
• Thermal Scope: Allows you to see through solid objects like walls and doors when zoomed in, displaying heat signatures. Activate by pressing the Secondary Fire/Toggle Weapon Attachment Key.

Test Run (With Sound Suppressor):

The silenced M82A1 is a powerful weapon. In a test run, a single terrorist was eliminated before they could fire. A terrorist by a window was also taken out with a single hit without needing the scope. Terrorists in a warehouse and outside were also eliminated with single shots. A shot through a terrorist into explosive barrels caused a large explosion. In this run, 13 shots were fired, all on target, killing 13 terrorists. Turning slowly is recommended to prevent reticule divergence.

Test Run (With Thermal Scope):

The loud M82A1 with a thermal scope has high range, damage, and accuracy. In a test run, a terrorist at an office building window was spotted via their heat signature through the Thermal Scope and eliminated. A terrorist on a crane was also taken out. Terrorists near a warehouse opening were eliminated with single shots. The description was accurate regarding the weapon's power, as a shot went through a terrorist and into explosive barrels, causing a BOOM!
