Alright, let's talk about the M16A2 in Rainbow Six Mobile. When you need some serious stopping power and range, this is the rifle RAINBOW turns to. Its 5.56mm round is no joke – it'll punch right through body armor, making it a reliable choice when things get serious.

Here’s a quick rundown of its base stats:

For ammo, you'll be using the standard 5.56x45mm NATO Full Metal Jacket Rounds. These are your all-purpose bullets – they hit hard against unarmored targets and can still get through armor.

Attachments to Consider

You can deck out the M16A2 with a few useful peripherals:

• High Capacity Magazine: This is a big one. It boosts your bullets per magazine by 70, meaning you shoot more before reloading and the gun feels more stable (Stability +18). However, it does slow down your reticle recovery (Recovery -4) due to the extra weight.
• Mini Scope: A 3.5x scope that’s great for picking off targets at a distance. Just be aware it takes up a good chunk of your screen, so your field of vision will be a bit more limited.
• Sound Suppressor: This cuts down on the noise when you fire, but it’s not silent. Keep in mind it adds weight (Recovery -4) and can reduce your damage (Damage -33) because it often uses subsonic ammo. It does, however, give you a nice boost to Accuracy (+12) and Stability (+61).

Test Run: How it Performs

Let's see how this rifle shakes out in a real firefight, starting with the High Capacity Magazine attached.

With High Capacity Magazine:

This M16A2 is famous, but remember it only has a triple-shot burst mode, no full-auto. When I first moved out, I encountered a terrorist behind a fire engine. Crouching down and zooming in, the first burst tagged his leg, and the second took him down. Another one behind a garage door didn't even hear the shots, so I could just walk up and deal with him. Inside the garage, there were a couple of terrorists in the medical room, and they went down in a single burst each – super efficient!

Moving to the parking lot, the terrorists were pretty static. The M16A2's triple bursts really shine here with their accuracy. One guy popping his head out from behind a car was downed with a single burst. The one by the door took a burst to injure and another to kill. The rest of the terrorists in the lot also fell in one burst each.

Inside the terminal building, the terrorists didn't stand a chance. Quick bursts of fire – bang-bang-bang – and they were down before they could even react. Some tightly packed groups could even be cleared with just one burst!

Out on the tarmac, I spotted a terrorist near the hangar entrance. A single shot to that vulnerable spot took him down easily. With no one else visible, I headed into the hangar to test its long-range capabilities further. Inside, I took out two terrorists in a room overlooking the hangar with one burst, and another visible through a window also went down in a single burst. The remaining terrorists inside the hangar were also eliminated with one burst each.

In this run, I fired 117 shots and landed 48, hitting about 41% accuracy. While it's an awesome rifle, its triple-shot mode can chew through ammo, so I'd rank it slightly below the FAL. Still, it's a solid performer!

Now, let's try the silenced M16A2. You'll appreciate the sound it makes – a real magic melody.

Heading out, I took down the first terrorist. His buddy behind the fire engine didn't hear a thing, probably thinking the sounds were just the wind. I spotted his legs under the engine, crouched, and fired a single burst to take him out. Inside the garage, a terrorist right in front of me was dealt with before he could even spot me! The rest were easy targets for the silenced M16A2, all falling after a single triple-shot burst.

Backing out into the parking lot, the terrorists were again relatively still. There were four of them, and they were all easy targets for the M16A2, no matter the distance. One burst each was all it took. This is seriously cool!

Entering the terminal building, the terrorists there really didn't stand a chance...
