Arnavisca, Santiago

Born in Malaga, Spain, Santiago Arnavisca comes from a family that still controls farmland around Cordoba and the Guadalquivir river valley. He attended the University of Seville from 1983-88 and joined the Guardia Civil upon graduation. Arnavisca served as a brigade commander in the Western European Union (WEU) administration of Mostar, Bosnia, from 1994-96, where he was instrumental in rebuilding the local police force. In 1997, he was recruited by the Guardia Civil's counter-terrorism unit, the Unidad Especial de Intervencion (UEI), focusing on terrorist actions within the European Union. Arnavisca is an expert marksman, fluent in English, German, and Italian, and can communicate in most other European languages. Despite his aristocratic bearing, he prefers acting as a lieutenant and advisor. He is known for his tenacity and calm detachment in tense situations.

Bogart, Daniel

Daniel Bogart was born in Keokuk, Iowa, USA. He attended the University of Iowa on a track & field scholarship from 1972-76, graduating with honors with a degree in law enforcement. After three years as a patrolman in Keokuk, he was hired by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in 1980. Bogart was a member of the FBI Hostage Rescue Team (HRT) from 1987-97. He has been married since 1979 and has a wife and two teenage children living in Maine, USA. Bogart is an excellent team lead with exceptional tactical skills and situational awareness from his HRT experience. He is cool under fire, a crack shot, and well-liked for his low-key demeanor and laconic sense of humor.

Burke, Andrew

Born in Manchester, England, Andrew Burke joined the Royal Marines in 1986. He served two tours of duty with the British Special Air Service (SAS), from 1989-91 and 1996-1999, and was awarded the Military Cross in 1998. Burke has participated in SAS actions in twenty-two countries across four continents, with further details of his service record sealed. He is unmarried. Burke is a seasoned veteran of covert operations with a strong can-do attitude and unlimited confidence. As a leader, he is decisive and demanding, possessing a quick sense of humor that can keep his team relaxed. He considers his service to be his home.

Chavez, Ding

Ding Chavez was born in Los Angeles, California. He joined the U.S. Army in 1983, serving with the 7th Infantry Division from 1984-87, rising to Staff Sergeant before being recruited by the American Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) in 1987 for narcotics interdiction operations in South America. Discharged in 1988, he became a full-time CIA employee that same year, working under John Clark. His service records from 1989-99 are sealed. Chavez earned a B.S. in Political Science and an M.A. in International Relations from George Mason University. He is married. Chavez is an excellent light infantry soldier with an exceptional grasp of small unit tactics and close quarters battle (CQB). Despite his small stature, he is powerfully built, agile, and formidable with a wide range of weapons and in hand-to-hand combat.

Filatov, Genedy

Genedy Filatov was born in Pskov, Pskovskaya Oblast, Russian Federation. He served in the army of the former Soviet Union from 1981-85, including a tour in Afghanistan. Recruited by the "Alfa" counter-terrorist group in 1987, he operated in territories of the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe. Filatov resigned from "Alfa" in 1991 due to their ambiguous response to the failed Soviet coup. He served as director of operations for a private security firm from 1991-96 before returning to "Alfa" in 1997 during its restructuring under the Russian Federal Security Service. He is married with no children. Filatov is a solid counter-terrorism operative with a wealth of real-world experience from his time in Soviet security forces and numerous contacts across Eastern Europe and Asia. His steady nerves and methodical approach make him a valuable asset, and he prides himself on being the voice of reason.

Haider, Karl

Karl Haider was born in Graz, Austria. He joined the Austrian army in 1992 and transferred to Gendarmerieeinsatzkommando Cobra (GEK Cobra) in 1996. He trained with Germany's GSG-9 and Israel's Sayeret Mat'Kal. Haider participated in a GEK Cobra raid on Deissenmayr GmbH headquarters in Vienna in 1998, where he is credited with single-handedly saving seven hostages. He married in 1999 and has no children. In combat, Karl is unstoppable, extremely aggressive, and will use necessary methods to complete his mission. He is fanatical about protecting hostages and bystanders, even at personal risk.
