Learn how to effectively use the silenced AW Covert sniper rifle in Rainbow Six Mobile. Discover its stats, thermal scope, and best strategies for taking down enemies with precision.

Alright, let's talk about the AW Covert in Rainbow Six Mobile. This silenced sniper rifle is pretty unique, firing a subsonic round that makes it quieter but a bit less punchy than other snipers. It’s got a default range of 19, which might seem low at first, but that silence is its main selling point. Plus, it comes with a Thermal Scope, which is a total game-changer.

Stats:

  • Bullets per magazine: 11
  • Range: 19
  • Damage: 40
  • Accuracy: 83
  • Stability: 90
  • Recovery: 52

Ammunition:

It uses 7.62x51mm NATO Full Metal Jacket Rounds. These are your standard, do-it-all rounds. They hit hard against unarmored folks and can even punch through armor.

Peripheral: Thermal Scope

This is where the AW Covert shines. The Thermal Scope lets you see through walls and doors by highlighting heat signatures. Keep in mind, it only works when you're zoomed in. To activate it, just press your Secondary Fire/Toggle Weapon Attachment key. It’s super useful for spotting enemies you wouldn't normally see.

Description:

The AW Covert is a silenced sniper rifle by default, chambered for the 7.62x51mm subsonic round. This round is a bit weaker than the standard 7.62x51mm, making the rifle slightly less powerful and accurate compared to other sniper rifles. However, this trade-off is balanced by the fact that the rifle is silenced right out of the box, making it ideal for stealthy approaches.

Test Run Experience:

So, I took the AW Covert for a spin, specifically with that Thermal Scope. Starting out, the range of 19 felt a little concerning, but I wanted to see if it could surprise me. I moved forward from the start and then turned right. There was a terrorist moving between containers. I took him down with a single shot – nice and quiet. Then, I tossed a smoke grenade ahead. While the smoke was rolling, another terrorist popped out from the left, but my teammate handled him. I then scoped in on an enemy in a window across the way. Even through the smoke, the thermal scope let me spot him easily, and one shot was all it took. Next, I turned left and saw a terrorist on a crane. I aimed and fired without even needing the scope – he went down in one hit.

After circling the container depot, I moved towards the warehouse. Before heading inside, I checked an opening to the right and took out two terrorists with single shots. Once the Red Team was ready, we pushed into the warehouse. I managed to pick off any terrorists I spotted. There was one moment where the auto-aim seemed a bit off, and I missed a vital spot, needing two chest shots instead of one. But everyone else went down in a single hit. I climbed the ladder inside the warehouse to the catwalk, went through the door at the far end, and entered the office.

The office was where that guy from the window had been. I passed his body and scanned the area. I spotted a terrorist facing left with his back to me, so a single shot from behind did the trick. I then threw a smoke grenade near the next table. When the smoke cleared a bit, I found another terrorist still in the office and took him out with one shot. Looking out the window, I switched on the thermal scope and spotted a terrorist on the upper deck of a ship. Naturally, he took a single shot. From that window, I could see and eliminate any other terrorists that appeared while the Red and Green Teams finished up. The whole test run used 13 shots, all on target, resulting in 12 kills. While sniper rifles are usually expected to be one-hit kill machines for every enemy, this performance was still pretty solid, especially considering the silenced nature of the weapon.
