Where to find Chespin in Legends Z-A

Alright, so you're looking to add a Chespin to your team in Pokémon Legends: Z-A? It's a bit of a hunt, but totally doable! There are actually two main ways you can snag one, and one of them involves a bit of a challenge.

Side Mission 007: A Feisty Chespin

After you've wrapped up Main Mission 5, you'll want to head a little ways south-east from Wild Zone 3. Keep your eyes peeled, and you'll spot a Chespin getting into it with a taxi – pretty funny, right? Your job here is to defeat it.

Here's the catch: this Chespin is super stubborn! It won't give up after just one loss. You'll actually have to battle and defeat it a total of three times, back-to-back, without any breaks. So, if you've got any Fire, Flying, or Bug-type Pokémon handy, now's the perfect time to bring them out. Once you finally triumph over this persistent little guy, it'll join your party!

Wild Zone 17

Once you hit Main Mission 24, you'll unlock access to Wild Zones 16 and 17. Now, Chespin isn't a guaranteed find here, but it *can* occasionally pop up in the southern part of Wild Zone 17. Look for the burrows – if you see some green bits sticking out, that's a good sign Chespin might be inside! Just remember, unlike Froakie and Fennekin, Chespin isn't a sure thing. You're more likely to find a Diggersby chilling in those burrows instead. Also, these burrows seem to take a bit longer to respawn, definitely more than a minute.

The good news is, if you *do* find a Chespin here, it won't bolt the second it sees you. It'll stand its ground and fight, much like the one from the side mission. Just be aware that other Pokémon, like Diggersby, might decide to jump into the fray and make things a bit more chaotic.

Mega Chesnaught

While not directly about finding Chespin itself, it's worth noting that its final evolution, Chesnaught, can Mega Evolve in Pokémon Legends: Z-A! You'll have to wait a bit for the Chesnaughtite mega stone, though. It's going to be a reward for ranking up in Season 3 of the online Ranked Battles.
