Walkthrough
- 1Prerequisites: Complete the main story (reach credits) and then complete 1 reward match of the Infinite Z-A Royale.
- 2Lida's Call: After the Royale, you'll receive a phone call from Lida. Head back to Hotel Z to meet L and receive new main missions.
- 3Main Mission 40: The One That Gives:
- Speak to Mable at the Pokémon Research Lab (3F) for a new research task.
- 4Deal with 3 abnormal alphas:
- Wild Zone 3: Alpha Steelix (Level 70)
- 5Wild Zone 5: Alpha Gallade (Level 70)
- 6Wild Zone 9: Alpha Pangoro (Level 70)
- 7Return to Mable after dealing with the alphas.
- 8Visit Wild Zone 11 and go to the north side to find a spot where Xerneas will appear.
- 9Catching Xerneas:
- Xerneas is a pure Fairy type. Watch out for its Geomancy, which boosts Sp. Atk, Sp. Def, and Speed, followed by Moonblast. Horn Leech and Megahorn are less dangerous.
- 10A Steel or Poison type Pokémon is recommended to resist Moonblast.
- 11Capture Xerneas. If knocked out, you can try again. It has a fairly high catch rate.
- 12Main Mission 41: The One That Takes:
- Head to Nouveau Café and speak to Grisham.
- 13Go to Quasartico Inc. and challenge 3 Rogue Megas in a simulation with Vinnie: Victreebel, Hawlucha, and Tyranitar (all Level 70).
- 14After the simulations, you'll be told Yveltal will appear at Galerie de la Lune.
- 15Fast-travel to Restaurant Le Wow and use the nearby scaffolding to climb up.
- 16Catching Yveltal:
- Yveltal is a Dark and Flying type. Its moves include Oblivion Wing (heals Yveltal), Hurricane, Psychic, and Dark Pulse.
- 17It's known more for its bulk than offensive prowess. A special tank like Sylveon or using Light Screen can help.
- 18Capture Yveltal. If you fail, you can try again. It has a fairly high catch rate once its HP is lowered to the red.
Tips
- All three abnormal alphas in Main Mission 40 are Level 70 and have high HP, so prepare for extended battles. You can either KO them or capture them.
- Xerneas has a fairly high catch rate, so focus on lowering its HP and using Poké Balls.
- Yveltal also has a fairly high catch rate. Lower its HP to the red and use Poké Balls.
