Guide to snagging the legendary Shadow Pokémon Suicune from Cipher Admin Venus in Pokémon Colosseum. Learn Venus's team, weaknesses, and the best strategy to catch Suicune.

Alright, so you're about to face off against Cipher Admin Venus, and she's got a legendary Shadow Pokémon – the majestic Suicune! This is a big one, so let's make sure you're prepped.

First off, before you even think about heading to Venus, you'll want to stock up. The Pokémon Mart has all the good stuff like Hyper Potions (P$1,200), Max Potions (P$2,500), Full Restores (P$3,000), Revives (P$1,500), and Full Heals (P$600). They also sell a bunch of TMs, but focus on what's useful for your team right now. And hey, don't forget the vending machines – grab a couple dozen Lemonades; they're way more HP-efficient than Super Potions!

You'll also want to grab some Net Balls from the Outskirt Stand. They're super effective against Suicune, giving you a much better chance to snag it compared to Ultra Balls.

Trainer Battles Before Venus

Before you get to Venus, you'll have to fight a couple of trainers. You'll face Cipher Peon Kloak with a Volbeat (Lv39), Spinarak (Lv39), and the Shadow Pokémon Ledian (Lv40). Then it's Cipher Peon Dagur with Ariados (Lv39), Illumise (Lv40), and Gloom (Lv39). Your Entei should make short work of these guys, especially with its fire attacks.

After beating them, talk to Silva in the cell to get the R-Disk. This is key for progressing!

The Showdown with Venus

Now, head to the studio where Venus is broadcasting. Before you talk to her, check the room in the front through the hidden door – there's a chest with three Rare Candies. Save them for later if you want, or use them on Entei now.

When you're ready, talk to Venus. She's got a tough lineup:

• Delcatty (Lv45)
• Steelix (Lv45)
• Banette (Lv45)
• Vileplume (Lv44)
• Shadow Pokémon Suicune (Lv40)

Strategy:

• Venus's Pokémon often know Attract, and Delcatty has Cute Charm, so avoid using direct contact moves if possible.
• If you have X Accuracy, use it on Entei to ensure it goes first. Entei's Fire Blast is great against her first four Pokémon.
• Banette can be tricky with Confuse Ray and Spite, so try to take it out quickly.
• Once Suicune appears, your Net Balls will be super effective. Suicune is very defense-oriented.
• Don't use Fire Blast on Suicune, as you don't want to burn it. Try putting it to sleep with Noctowl (if you have it) or another Pokémon.
• Have Entei use Bite or Stomp until Suicune's HP is low, then start throwing Net Balls.
• If you accidentally KO Suicune, don't panic! Hit the Reset button and try again. You've got this!
• If you run out of Net Balls, Ultra Balls will have to do. You absolutely need to snag this Suicune; it's incredibly powerful and you won't get another chance for a long time.

After you snag Suicune, Venus will drop the final Ein File, "F". Grab the TM45 (Attract) from the chest. Then, head downstairs and open the now-unlocked door. This opens up a shortcut back to the subway and leads to a save point and Pokémon Center – definitely save your game here!
